Blog: A De Novo Branch Blends “High Tech” and “High Touch”

Moving into a high-rise in one of Nashville’s most up-and-coming neighborhoods, The Gulch, was a pretty exciting opportunity for our bank. We’re a local, community-driven bank with five locations, so each one of our branches is a big piece of who we are as a financial institution. The space we chose for the branch is located on the ground floor of a high-rise building. We wanted to take advantage of floor-to-ceiling windows and create a space inside that was enticing from the outside.

Our local certified ATM dealer introduced us to Diebold Nixdorf’s PAS team (Product Application Services). We didn’t realize that Diebold Nixdorf had an in-house branch design team that could work with us from start to finish – but we really appreciated the expertise they offered. The team, which included our architectural firm, had a deep understanding of how technology could work inside the branch, and they worked with us in a collaborative way to understand our customers’ priorities.

We met with the team a number of times, and they put together conceptual renderings that served as the foundation of the branch design. Our branch staff were amazed with the outcome. From the media wall to the breakout spaces and the organic flow of the entire space, we love how well all the pieces of the puzzle fit together, and give us a modern, customer-friendly setting to provide better service to everyone who walks through the door.
